Day 4

Free morning to chill out at the beach or take a free Spanish class on the beach with our charismatic translator.

Afternoon:  Meet for lunch in the restaurant overlooking the sea. We’ll be joined by the dancers for a dance class followed by a beach party with a 10-piece live band. 

Day 5

Group Two: Leave from Gatwick and arrive in Havana to a warm welcome at the airport for the 10 night trip.

Group One:  Check out and travel back to Havana.

Afternoon:  Everyone checks into Hemmingway’s Hotel in Havana, where we will welcome the 10 night international  group led by Del Piero.  Free afternoon to wander the streets of Old Havana.

Evening:  Exclusive Key2Cuba party on the rooftop of the hotel, with panoramic views of Old Havana and the port.  The Dancers will perform a Welcome Show of Reggaeton, Salsa and Son, with the most famous DJ in Havana, ChuChu, keeping us on the floor with all the latest Cuban tracks.  Dance with all the dancers and everyone from the group.

Day 6

Morning:  3 hour classes, at 5 levels - Cuban dance technique, Rueda, styling and partner work.

Afternoon:  Free

Day 7

Morning:  3 hour classes. Reggaeton warm up with Bustamante.

Afternoon:  Free afternoon or optional free guided tour of Old Havana

Evening:  Dinner in the oldest Piazza in Old Havana followed by salsa in Old Havana’s top salsa club, with a great live band  opposite our the hotel with all the dancers.

Day 8

Morning:  3 hour classes. Introduction to Rumba led by Juan De Dios plus Rueda and Salsa partner work.

Lunch:   in Old Havana

Evening:   Visit the recently opened, notorious open air rueda club in Havana, a great place to meet all the top Havana Salseros. Join in the rueda to a live band, and a very friendly vibe.

Day 9

Morning:  3 hour class. Son at 3 levels Salsa at 5 levels.

Afternoon:  Free to relax

Evening:  Exclusive to Key2Cuba, private Rumba party with Clave y Guaguanco, the world’s leading Rumba band. At WOMAD they were striking, but in their own private court yard, the party is electrifying.  Bring your own rum to share and be prepared to be vacuna’d!  Walk home along the Malecón seafront with all the dancers and dinner at the gypsy restaurant.

Day 10

Morning:  Free morning, or optional free Spanish class

Afternoon: The wild Friday matinee with all the dancers.

Evening:  Dinner in Cuba’s most celebrated Cuban/Arabic restaurant.  Dine alongside all the stars of the Salsa scene before returning to the hotel for late night socialising. 

Day 11

Morning:  3 hour class including male and female styling taught separately.

Afternoon: Free afternoon

Evening:  Salsa Party with the dancers at whatever's the hottest club that night.

Day 12

Morning: Let’s go to the gutsy Rumba street party and meet the famous painter Salvador Gonzalez.  Here the relationship between the Cuban Religion, Art and Dance will be explained beautifully through his extra-ordinary paintings. Exclusive to Key2Cuba.  Check out his private home collection, not only his studio art. Rumba in the street with all the locals and practice your new moves.

Afternoon:  Free afternoon

Evening:  Meet to go to the dazzling salsa club on the island of shells, fanned by sea breezes. The atmosphere is 100% Cubano.  One of our dancers is the MC so prepare to be introduced to everyone and danced off your feet!

Day 13

Morning:  3 hours of Salsa and Afro Cuban Dance at 5 levels.  

Afternoon:  Free time

Evening: The Bembe - Exclusive to Key2Cuba. Experience an authentic Cuban celebration of the gods. Off the beaten track, in a private home, our dancers perform the ritual dances of the African gods in full traditional costume. Feel the rhythm as they are accompanied by live drummers and singers.  Feast yourself on delicious Cuban home cooking and Salsa the night away with all the local neighbours and dancers. A real privilege!

Day 14

Morning:  Relax and recharge!

Afternoon: Beach party with 16 piece live band, all the dancers and their families and Salsa in the sea, Son in the sand and Bolero to finish!

Evening:  Dinner at a local restaurant followed by a Cadillac drive down the seafront to see Los Van Van at Casa de la Música.  Get your CDs signed by the band or your photo taken with them.

Day 15

Morning:  Last breakfast together on the rooftop of the hotel with panoramic views overlooking the whole of Havana.

Meet for lunch in the Market where you can pick up any last minute souvenirs before travelling home and arriving back in the UK the following morning.
